...the day after Mommy & Daddy left Nick with a baby sitter, Mommy said to Nick: "When we left last night, I saw you put on your brave face."

Nick's brave face is a real heart tugger. He takes his smile and pushes his pinchable cheeks up to their limits making his eyes set deep. Throw in enough water into the eyes, just short of tearing, and his eyes set back enough to be measured in fathoms. Asking Nick to endure a picture at that tender moment would be cruel, but I would give anything to be assured that I always remember Nick's brave face.
